Core Principle # 1 :
Every Life has value
Every person has worth and deserves the opportunity to learn how to live well. Regardless of background, beliefs, or circumstances, every person can grow in peace, character, purpose, and hope.
More than 250 years ago, the Declaration of Independence recognized the rights to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Yet if we are honest, many people today still struggle to find lasting happiness. Perhaps the pursuit of happiness was never meant to be the pursuit of comfort, possessions, or pleasure, but the freedom to pursue a life well lived.
Teach Virtues exists because I believe living well can be learned. When people intentionally cultivate peace, character, purpose, and hope, they not only improve their own lives, they help create a more peaceful world for everyone.
Core Principle # 2:
Living Well has 4 Parts
- Peace withinÂ
- Peace with the world around usÂ
- Character building (this is the focus of Teach Virtues)
- Passionate engagement with life
These four aspects work together to help people live healthier, happier, and more hopeful lives.
They form a practical code of conduct built on timeless principles that have helped individuals and communities flourish across generations.
